Snow...

Snow...

When we rescued Snow on April 20th she had a body score of 1… literally skin and bones!

She had numerous, horrific mammary tumors, had become blind from the unmanaged diabetes, and had significant hair loss.

We immediately rushed her to Penn Vet and had X-rays done. Thankfully no cancer was seen spread into the chest.

Her Blood Glucose was 515! She was in diabetic ketoacidosis and weighed just 7 pounds…

She since has had her cancerous tumors removed, her diabetes is under control, her beautiful coat has grown back, and she is a whopping 9.8 pounds!!!

She is being fed the fantastic Dr. Harvey's Paradigm Premix with several supplements added in, and various proteins… this week's protein is gently-cooked turkey! She gets insulin twice a day with her meals and is a perfect angel when getting her injections!

This little girl was part of a litter of 7 pups surrendered to another group.
One of the pups passed away from a cardiac condition.
The others went to rescue but this little sweetie was left behind because she has a heart murmur and could require specialized care…
Which is why we were contacted...
So we will be picking her up this weekend!
We will have her checked out by our awesome veterinarian Dr. Knight at PetPT ASAP and also scheduling a thorough cardiac evaluation / testing.
Tax-deductible donations toward her care can be made at www.NewLifeAnimalRescue.org/donate/
Welcome to your New Life little one … welcome to love!
